About

Hello, candle lovers! I'm Dr. Trivia Coley, a physical therapist turned candle maker. I started crafting candles during the COVID-19 shutdown as a creative outlet, and Southern Essence Candle Co. was born in September 2021. Initially using a paraffin-soy blend, I soon shifted to paraffin-free, health-conscious ingredients for a cleaner burn.

Inspired by my rural Georgia upbringing, our hand-poured candles evoke warmth and comfort. We're committed to giving back, supporting the Dementia Care Champions Fund with 10% of our sales.
